Ingredients

  • 250 grams paneer, cubed
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 medium tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cashew Paste:
  • Blend the soaked cashew nuts with a little water to make a smooth paste. Set aside.
  • Cook the Onions:
  • In a pan, heat butter and oil together. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  • Add Ginger-Garlic Paste:
  • Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
  • Add Tomato Puree:
  • Pour in the tomato puree and cook until the oil starts to separate from the mixture.
  • Spice it Up:
  • Add red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  • Incorporate Cashew Paste:
  • Add the cashew paste to the gravy and mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
